We find lots of pre-loved school uniforms in our clothing bins that you could be selling and raising extra funds.
Working with hundreds of schools across the region, we come across all sorts of interesting items when we go to empty our recycled clothing bins. Once we have bagged it all up and taken your textiles donations back to the warehouse for sorting and weighing, we often find that there is a large selection of pre-loved school wear in with the general clothing, shoes and household textiles that we receive.
Stock your school shop with recycled school uniforms
The team here at Kids Just Recycle thought that it would be a great idea if we could provide you with a separate FREE recycling bin just for school uniform donations. This way you would be able to restock your school shop and sell these items back into your school community. This can even include a range of sportswear that your pupils are required to have or specifically if you offer sports trips away including skiing, where new items can be rather pricy. The items that we ask you to donate must be in good enough condition to be worn again, so we do please ask you to only donate clean and wearable items.
Use recycled school uniforms
In tough economic times, the school uniform donations you make can help families who may be struggling; it also promotes the ‘Reduce Reuse Recycle’ motto to help keep unwanted items out of landfill. We also know that many more households are turning towards second hand shopping rather than new, just as a way to do their bit to save our planet from further damage.
Textile Recycling Bins for Schools
As with the larger bins we provide, we will also do your graphics and personalisation for free. All we need you to do is provide your own padlock so you have 100% control over emptying it and reselling perfectly good school uniform items in your school shop! Any items you can’t use, you can simply pop into our main bin and we will send them on to third world countries for use in poorer communities.
If you don’t have one of our main bins yet, we can easily organise that for you too! We can install one of our FREE larger school branded recycled clothing bins outside your school premises, or inside the grounds if access allows, so that your local community can drop off any pre-loved clothes, paired shoes/trainers or household fabrics that they no longer need. These can be donated into your new Kids Just Recycle clothing bins and once you have collected 1 tonne of reusable textiles, we will pay you a staggering £400 per tonne!
