Recycling unwanted clothes

How do I if I should be recycling unwanted clothes?

It’s not all bad news!

Our planet is changing, and we need your help to change it for the better and we all need to work together because there are a lot of things that affect our world in a bad way. But there is some good news, because if we all make small changes we can make a massive difference.

What a load of rubbish! No, really! Did you know that every year the UK produces 280 million tonnes of waste – which is roughly the same as 700,000 aeroplanes filled up with all the stuff we chuck away including food, glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, wrappers, paper, cardboard, toiletries, clothing and household textiles. In the last decade, the UK has come together to do more about this. 47.2% of all household waste is now recycled compared to just 11% in 2000 – this means that we can now save more than 18 million tonnes of carbon dioxide a year – which is just like taking 5 million cars off the road.

Is it easy recycling unwanted clothes?

Here at Kids Just Recycle, we like to help make recycling unwanted clothes and household textiles as easy as possible. That’s why we work with your school and provide a FREE school branded clothing bin to help pupils make more of a fashion statement by recycling unwanted clothes, schools and home textiles. We sort and send these collected items to poorer communities and also help the homeless to keep them warm.
