As you can imagine, we find some pretty interesting items in our clothing bins but one thing we get a lot of is pre-loved school uniforms that could be resold to raise extra funds for your school. If they are branded we cannot offer them to other schools in the UK or abroad, so it makes sense for the school they belong to to generate an additional income by selling the textiles through your school shop.

Partnering with hundreds of schools across the region, we have a lot of textiles to sort through and we frequently come across a great selection of second-hand school uniforms mixed in with general clothing, shoes, and household items.

At Kids Just Recycle, we thought it would be a fantastic idea to offer our BIG bin customers a FREE dedicated recycling bin just for school uniform donations. This way, you can restock your school shop and sell these items back to the school community; helping the environment and the families who may be struggling to buy brand-new or those who simply appreciate the value of pre-loved.

When you recycle textiles through your school shop this could even include sportswear, ideal for PE or school trips, like skiing, where new clothing can be expensive. We only ask that all items are clean and in good condition, ready to be worn again.

In these challenging economic times, school uniform donations can be a lifeline for families in need. Plus, this initiative supports the ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ ethos, keeping usable items out of landfill sites. More and more families are opting for second-hand goods to both save money and protect the environment.

Just like our larger bins, we’ll provide FREE custom graphics and personalisation. All you need is your own padlock, giving you full control over the bin and the ability to restock your second-hand uniform shop with ease. Any items that can’t be reused can simply be placed in our general bins, where they will be passed on to communities in developing countries.
