Looking for fresh and effective PTA fundraising ideas? We know raising extra money for schools isn’t always easy.
That’s where Kids Just Recycle comes in with THREE simple, exciting ways to boost your budget while helping the planet too.
With climate change high on everyone’s agenda, there’s never been a better time to teach children how small actions can make a big difference. By embracing the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ethos – schools can inspire pupils to care for the environment while raising valuable funds.
Fundraising made easy with a FREE branded school textiles recycling bin
At Kids Just Recycle, we make it incredibly simple for schools to earn money from items families no longer need.
Just donate:
• Pre-loved clothing
• Paired or tied shoes
• Household textiles (no duvets or pillows, just the covers and cases)
Simply contact our friendly team to request a FREE branded recycling bin for your school. Send us your school logo, and we’ll do the rest! You can earn up to £400 per tonne collected – that’s 40p per kilo for reusable donations.
So whether it’s outgrown school uniforms, old coats, or unclaimed lost property, every bag dropped into the bin helps generate funds for your school. It’s easy to turn unwanted clothes into school funds the easy, eco-friendly way!
What could your school use the money for?
Better learning resources
Extra funding can provide books, laptops, equipment, upgraded facilities, and exciting new educational programmes, helping children thrive in the classroom.
More clubs & activities
From sports and board games to art, reading and crafts, extracurricular activities help children build confidence, develop skills and discover new passions.
Filling budget gaps
Many schools face financial pressures. Fundraising can help cover essential costs such as maintenance, staffing, and resources beyond the annual budget.
Building stronger community spirit
Fundraising brings together parents, carers, teachers, pupils and the wider community. Working towards a shared goal creates pride, teamwork and school spirit.
No space for a bin? Try the Kids Fill The Bag Challenge!
If a recycling bin isn’t right for your school, why not launch a Kids Fill The Bag campaign instead?
All you need to do is collect a minimum of 40 bin bags filled with:

We’ll help you spread the word!
We also offer a great range of free printable posters on our website so you can promote your recycling drive and maximise donations.
