Kids Fill The Bag scheme

Raise funds for your school to provide important resources

When it comes to PTA ideas for raising much-needed funds for schools, they can be a bit thin on the ground. Kids Just Recycle have two fresh ways to earn yourself a cash injection.

The climate is never far away from the news headlines and now it is vital to raise awareness with our children about how we can better look after our planet, keep waste out of landfill, and live by the three R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Here at Kids Just Recycle, we’ve made it child’s play for you to earn money for your school by simply donating pre-loved clothes, tied/paired shoes and household textiles! All you need to do is get in touch with our friendly team and request a FREE branded recycling bin. Provide us with digital artwork of your school logo and we will take care of the rest. You can earn up to £400 per tonne; that’s 40p per kilo for all reusable donations we collect from you.

Raise funds for your school

By simply filling up your new school recycled clothing bin with outgrown, unwanted items of clothing or unclaimed lost property items, you can get a cash sum paid directly to your school! This could go a long way to helping with costs for:

Improving educational resources: Extra cash can help to improve the quality of education by providing additional resources for schools such as books, technology, equipment, facilities and new educational programmes. These resources can create a better learning experience which helps pupils to achieve better academic results.

Providing more extracurricular activities: Activities such as sports, board games, art, books or crafting can help children develop new skills, or improve existing ones, make new friends, and explore new and varied interests outside of the classroom.

Making up any shortfall: Many schools face budget shortfalls for various reasons, and fundraising can help to bridge that gap. Funds can be used to maintain facilities, hire more staff, or cover other expenses that may be beyond the school’s annual budget.

Raising community spirit: Fundraising events or new initiatives can bring together parents, carers, teachers, pupils, and the wider community to support their local school. With everyone pulling together to make a successful fundraising campaign can bring about a real sense of community and pride.

If you would like to start a textiles recycling campaign without installing a bin on your school grounds, then you may like the sound of Kids Fill The Bag! All you have to do is collect a minimum of 40 bin bags full of pre-loved clothes, paired/tied shoes and household textiles and your school could earn a whopping £500 per tonne! We will pay you 50p per kilo for all reusable donations we collect from you.

We have a great range of printable posters on our website so you can publicise your textiles recycling event and drum up as much support as possible.

If your school would like to order a FREE recycled clothing bin or start a ‘Kids Fill The Bag’ challenge to raise vital school funds, contact one of our friendly team today.
