One thing we’ve discovered while working with schools across the country is that they all share something wonderful in common – they love recycling! Whether it’s clothes, shoes, or household textiles, schools are passionate about protecting our planet and giving items a second life instead of sending them to landfill. And we have to say… they’re very, very good at it!
At Kids Just Recycle, we believe recycling is more than just a good habit; it’s a movement. We actively encourage pupils, teachers, parents, and local communities to join forces and recycle as much as possible. Every jumper, t-shirt, and pair of shoes that’s kept out of landfill makes a difference. With the climate crisis affecting us all, now is the time to work together, support one another, and show a little extra love to the place we call home. Because if we don’t act now, the future really could be…well, rubbish.
Raising funds has never been so easy (or so eco-friendly!)
We know how much schools love doing their bit for the environment, and we’ve created a fun, easy, and rewarding way to do it. Kids Just Recycle helps schools raise vital funds and protect the planet at the same time!
With so much discussion around sustainability and the environment, more and more schools are teaching pupils about the importance of the three R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. But with school budgets under pressure and fundraising events limited in recent years, it’s become harder to find simple, reliable ways to raise money. That’s where we come in!
By donating unwanted or pre-loved clothes, shoes, and household textiles, your school community can raise valuable funds while helping the planet. It’s easy, impactful, and every donation counts.
Did you know it can take up to 1,000 years for a single pair of shoes to decompose? That’s a millennium buried in the ground when they could be reused, resold, or repurposed into something new. Let’s give those shoes, and all your other textiles, a second chance at life!
It’s time to get involved by installing one of our FREE, fully branded recycled clothing bins in your school premises.
Here’s how it works:
- Collect reusable, pre-loved clothes, paired/tied shoes, and household textiles.
- Fill your school’s recycling bin with donations from staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
- Earn! Your school will receive £400 per tonne, or 40p per kilo, for every reusable donation we collect.
Every filled bin turns old, unwanted items into real cash for your school. Whether it’s outgrown uniforms, unclaimed lost property, or clothes sorted from home wardrobes, it all adds up to both a cleaner planet and a stronger school community.
