fund raising ideas for schools notes

Money-making recycling ideas for schools

One thing we have learned about all of the schools we work with, is that they love to recycle clothing, shoes and household textiles to help save our planet, and they are very, very good at it. We actively encourage kids, staff and local communities to pull together and recycle as much as possible so we can keep it out of landfill. With the climate change crisis we are in, we all need to support one another to make positive change and show some love to where we live. If we don’t, then the future will just be…well, rubbish.

The team at Kids Just Recycle have an exciting, fun and quick way for you to raise funds for your school and save the planet!

With lots of political discussion and media coverage on environmental topics and raising awareness about how we can better look after our planet and keep waste out of landfill, many schools are now teaching our generations of the future about the importance of the three R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

With cuts in educational funding and the pandemic lockdowns preventing school fundraising events from happening, Kids Just Recycle has made it possible for you to raise money for your school just by donating unwanted and pre-loved clothes, shoes and household textiles! This is a really important thing to do because did you know that is can take up to 1,000 years for a single pair of shoes to decompose? That’s a long time in the ground when they could be given a second chance at life.
