At Kids Just Recycle, we believe that every community thrives when people come together to support those who need it most. That’s why we are delighted to announce our sponsorship of Peaceful Place, an extraordinary charity dedicated to enriching the lives of younger people and retired older adults living with early-onset dementia.

A place where people come first

A dementia diagnosis can bring many challenges, but it should never define a person’s life. Peaceful Place is built on this belief; making a difference together: supporting Peaceful Place.

Their welcoming and supportive community provides members with opportunities to remain active, engaged, and connected. Rather than focusing on limitations, Peaceful Place celebrates individual strengths, helping people continue to enjoy meaningful experiences, friendships, and a strong sense of purpose.

Every member is treated as an individual, with activities tailored to their interests, abilities, and personal goals. From music and sport to arts, crafts, social outings, and wellbeing sessions, every day offers opportunities for laughter, creativity, confidence, and connection.

Why Peaceful Place matters

Living with dementia can often lead to isolation, anxiety, and a loss of confidence, not only for those diagnosed but also for their families and carers. Peaceful Place works tirelessly to change that. Through carefully designed programmes and compassionate support, members are encouraged to stay socially connected, physically active, and emotionally supported. The positive impact reaches far beyond the individual, providing reassurance, guidance, and valuable respite for family carers too.

Their work helps people:

  • Build confidence and maintain independence
  • Stay physically and mentally active
  • Reconnect through music, creativity, and shared experiences
  • Reduce isolation and improve overall wellbeing
  • Form lasting friendships and create treasured memories
  • Access support for families and carers

How your school can help

As part of our commitment to supporting Peaceful Place, we’d love the schools, pupils, families, and communities we work with to join us in making a difference. Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps create life-changing experiences for people living with dementia. Together, we can ensure that more individuals continue to enjoy fulfilling, active, and joyful lives. Alternatively, you could install one our Peaceful Place branded clothing bins and raise funds for them through textiles recycling.

The difference your donation can make

It’s amazing how far a donation can go at www.peacefulplace.co.uk

£5 could help provide transport, enabling a member to attend activities, stay connected, and reduce feelings of isolation.

£10 could provide a freshly prepared meal for two members, encouraging social interaction and shared enjoyment.

£20 could help fund a sports or wellbeing session, supporting both physical and cognitive health.

£50 could provide a music therapy session, helping members reconnect through memories, rhythm, and creativity.

£100 could fund four sporting activities such as swimming, walking football, or boxercise, promoting confidence, fitness, and fun.

£200 could help take a group of members on a mystery tour, creating joy, adventure, and unforgettable experiences.

A special Thank You!

To recognise the kindness and generosity of young supporters, Peaceful Place is offering a special thank you. Pupils who make an individual donation will receive a personally handwritten card from the CEO of Peaceful Place. It’s a small gesture that reflects the huge impact every contribution can make.

These experiences help people living with dementia continue to enjoy friendship, achievement, creativity, and purpose, proving that dementia does not define who a person is or what they can achieve.
